Sunrise Studio sits on the edge of the charming village of East Ilsley, nestled in the heart of the North Wessex Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is home to artist Jill Hobbs, known for her appearance on BBC1’s Make it at Market (Series 2), where she showcased her dynamic mixed media portraits and landscapes created for both commissions and exhibitions.
Joining Jill for Open Studios 2026 is watercolour artist Geoff Wond, whose ethereal, nature inspired landscapes capture the atmosphere of wild and remote places. Alongside them is Katy Morris, a ceramic artist whose beautifully textured work draws on the forms and colours of the natural world and the sea.
We warmly invite you to visit Sunrise Studio, conveniently positioned near popular walking routes to the Ridgeway. With sweeping views and two welcoming pubs just a short stroll away, it’s the perfect outing for lovers of art, nature, and scenic wandering.
