Privacy Notice
At Open Studios West Berkshire and North Hampshire (OSWBNH), we are committed to protecting the privacy of our artists, supporters and visitors to our website.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information or email lists. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use and protect personal information through our website, mailing lists and promotional activities.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website may use essential cookies to support functions such as artist login and account management.
We may also use analytics technologies to help us understand how visitors use our website and identify ways to improve it. Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, these will only be used after the visitor has given permission.
Visitors can review or change their choices using the cookie controls on our website.
Sharing personal information
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may use trusted service providers to help us operate our website, manage artist accounts, distribute newsletters and deliver Open Studios activities. These providers may only process personal information for the agreed purpose and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
Press releases and publicity
We provide press releases about Open Studios artists and events to media organisations, including local press and broadcasters.
Personal information included in these releases will normally be taken from details supplied by artists for the OSWBNH Directory of Artists or website. We will agree any additional personal information with the artist concerned before publication.
Data storage and international transfers
The OSWBNH website is operated by a committee of volunteers who support and promote the visual arts across West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
We use third-party services to operate our website and mailing lists. Some of these providers may process or store information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards will be used in accordance with UK data protection law.
Newsletter mailing lists
Names and email addresses provided by newsletter subscribers are processed using Mailchimp, which helps us manage and distribute our newsletters.
We use these details only to provide the information subscribers have requested. We do not sell, rent or trade our mailing list.
Every newsletter includes links allowing subscribers to update their preferences or unsubscribe. Anyone who unsubscribes will no longer receive our newsletters, although limited information may be retained where necessary to ensure that their preference is respected.
Accessing or changing your personal information
You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. You may also ask us to correct inaccurate information or delete information where appropriate.
To make a request, please contact the Chair, Jill Hobbs, at chair@open-studios.org.uk.
