Art disciplines: Drawing and painting
SLB is an outsider artist and former journalist. In her 40s she picked up a paintbrush and it changed her life. She paints large, high-coloured, energetic abstract canvases in oil and acrylic. Painting has recovered a part of herself she had forgotten, non-verbal and childlike. For her the process is often playful, sometimes spiritual, always meaningful. She regards the mysterious shapes and blocks of colour formed in her abstraction as a language of the soul and would love to show you her work.
