Art disciplines: Drawing and painting

My art school tutor gave me enduring advice. ‘Your going to have to use more paint.’ Over 50 years, with a process of overpainting to the point of a satisfied conclusion I’ve used a lot of paint. In the last two years I’ve returned to oil paint and reworking earlier work. I’ve also produced a series of oil paintings of mountains in Snowdonia, reflecting on my Welsh heritage. I however continue to explore a fascination with the energising effects of colour contrast.
