Art disciplines: Drawing and painting

I like to paint outdoors where possible but failing that bring sketches and photographs back to the studio to work on. My inspiration can come from anywhere – a walk in the countryside, a patch of sunlight on hillside or a scene when at home or abroad. My aim always being to represent something of the feeling that these things elicit in the moment whether it is through a landscape, seascape or still life. I am forever drawn to using bright colours either in oils or acrylics with a semi abstact or comtemporary approach.
