Art disciplines: Drawing and painting

I paint mainly in oils but also watercolour and pastels. Each has its own way of expressing that which I aim for. I am fascinated by nature in all its variation, reflections in water, shadows cast, cloud formations. I love to paint the world around me, and I do not have to go very far to find my inspiration, as the time of day and the seasons change aspects of my favourite views. I also like to paint some more personal subjects, my friends and family, and still lifes. I love colour and shapes and moods but mainly I aim for a sense of stillness, much needed in this chaotic world
