With an artistic background in graphic design, Tee creates botanical style illustrations for a range of different surfaces. These include natural cotton fabrics, paper and wood. Primarily working in watercolour and ink, she transforms her original, painted illustrations into pattern designs for ranges of handmade homeware, accessories, gifts and stationery.
Inspired by the blooms and foliage that grow in her own garden and the surrounding Berkshire countryside, Tee works from photographic references and initial sketches. Her final pieces are both decorative and practical.
Tee’s passion for ‘biophilic design’ allows her to explore shapes, colour combinations, textures and forms within the botanical world. Using a selective colour palette, she celebrates nature through layers of hand drawn line work and fluid, organic blends in watercolour. This reflects and expresses the innate human connection we have with nature. Tee brings the joy of the outdoors into your home, making rooms bloom.
