Art disciplines: Drawing and painting, Printmaking
I’m an artist working primarily in oils and gouache, and occasionally in linocut. My practice focuses on figurative and botanical subjects, often using elements of light and nature — flowers, plants, animals, smoke, and water — as symbols to explore a subject or suggest a story. I use contrast in colour and unexpected subject pairings to create compositions with tension and balance.
Storytelling and symbolism are central to my work. By placing meaningful elements together, I explore themes of transformation. I see art as an expression of experience, and beauty as the conduit that connects it to others. My artworks often carry a sense of softness and mystery as an invitation for viewers to bring their own stories, to find meaning in the space between feeling and reflection.
