Art disciplines: Jewellery

My interest in silver jewellery making started many years ago but in 2016 I graduated from the London Jewellery School, with a Diploma in Silver Jewellery (Distinction) and started Sandra McArdle Jewellery. Most recently I graduated with a Diploma in Fine Jewellery.

I love working with silver and gold, precious and semi-precious stones, to create objects of beauty. I never cease to be amazed at the way in which the metals respond as they are heated and worked through many steps and stages, to create that final piece.

My design process is organic, preferring to work with stones and metal around me on my bench, while I place and re-place them to determine just the right setting or style. Out of this slightly unconventional approach, my preferred style emerges as simply classic with elegant lines which allow the materials speak for themselves.
