Art disciplines: Ceramics, Glass, Jewellery

Porcelain and stoneware clay form the basis of my pottery. I trained as a production potter in 1970, now using the potter’s wheel and firing the pots in a self-built gas kiln, I make functional and useful pots that are a pleasure to use every day.
In 2006 I had the opportunity of working in a studio on the island of Murano in Venice with a Maestro, learning the centuries old skill of making lampwork Venetian glass beads. This skill was then used to make beads, then set them in silver, to wear and cherish.
