Helen Long is a ceramic artist, working from her studio in rural Berkshire. Her creativity stems from exploring the relationship between people and their environment. Our planet is under threat as never before in human history, our oceans are warming at an alarming rate and are contaminated with microplastics which enter the food chain. In response, Helen’s current work seeks to remind us of the beauty and fragility of the sea.
On a personal level, Helen is moving to a more sustainable practice; reducing her carbon footprint by using a single firing method and sourcing materials which have been produced more sustainably.
