Art disciplines: Drawing and painting

Rediscovering my passion for art in my late 40s, I focus on 4 Cs: colours, contrast, content, and composition, heavily influenced by van Gogh, Hopper, Cezanne, Hockney, and Nash. Living in the countryside of NW Hampshire, growing up by the sea in northern Scotland, and overseas travel in France, Italy, Germany and Croatia have inspired me. Exploring nature through cycling and sports, as well as solitude and atmospherics, are all significant influences. Topped off with a Wildcard entry on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year and recent commissions and sales push me ever onwards to develop and look at the world through an artist’s lens.
