Art disciplines: Ceramics

This will be my first year exhibiting with Open Studios and I’m really looking forward to it. After taking a short “taster course” in pottery five years ago I became obsessed with clay and it wasn’t long before the garage was converted into a studio and I invested in a potters wheel and kiln. I work with stoneware clay and enjoy decorating with coloured slips and glazes. The garage has now become my happy place where many hours are spent developing new ideas into tangable, tactile and hopefully pleasing objects from mud!
