Art disciplines: Photography

Photography has always been my medium but so too the world of art and paintings.
As a fine art photographer for many years photographing paintings for Christie’s and for Art Uk, lighting is key for me especially the use of the Chiaroscuro technique. My greatest influences are the dutch old masters through to the more contemporary Elizabeth Blackadder and Rory McEwen.
I’m currently working with Polymer photogravure’s which is photo-printmaking technique that uses light-sensitive polymer plates to create an image that is then printed using traditional etching techniques. It works well with my illusions on whether my images are photographs or are painted images.
