My interest is predominantly in the natural world. As a printmaker of many years, my work includes several aspects of the process, from the immediacy of monoprint to the more technical disciplines of collagraph or etching for instance, often mixing two or more methods to achieve one print. Responding to observations from life, images develop and evolve, the finished print often quite different from initially imagined or planned. There are often surprises involved with the process of printmaking.
