Art disciplines: Drawing and painting

Expressive depictions of the British Landscape in oils. Light, colour and texture using bold strokes of brush and pallet knife interspersed with sensitive washes are key to conveying an emotional response to whatever I am painting, whether it be a vast sky over rolling moorland or a sea drenched coastline. Light and dark, calm and rage, its all around us. I like to visually walk through the painting, as though I am there amongst it, amongst the landscape, enjoying the resonance between colours and marks and finding intricate movement amidst bolder swathes.
