Melissa hopes her colours meet people where they are. She hopes they brighten mornings, soften evenings, and gently encourage viewers to slow down and notice small moments of beauty.

Each painting begins with a spark of joy from an unexpected combination of colours. This inspiration might come from a rack of clothes, a patterned surface, something blooming in nature, or a floral arrangement that makes her heart lift. From that moment of instinctive joy, she builds the composition outward, choosing tones that harmonise with the flowers and carry that feeling through the piece.

Her work is not created to simply match a room. She wants her paintings to bring joy, connection, and a sense of emotional grounding to the homes they live in.
