Art disciplines: Jewellery

Claire is a designer and maker of contemporary jewellery, working in silver and gold. Her work is organic and sculptural. She uses semi-precious stones as well as simple found objects such as pebbles or sea glass which are transformed into elegant new forms. She also breathes life into old unworn jewellery by using the original stones or gold to create a contemporary new design.

Claire offers hands on courses learning the skills needed to design and make a unique piece of silver jewellery. She teaches adults on a 1:1 basis or in groups of up to four students in a well equipped workshop just outside Ruthin in north east Wales. Accommodation is available. See www.wernogwood.co.uk
