I continue to explore the possibilities of the vessel form in wood-fired and salt/soda-glazed stoneware. Following a trip to Japan I have been making larger pieces, which are thrown on the wheel and then shaped to generate a feeling of movement and energy. I am always looking for new glaze effects which produce complex and interesting surfaces. You can see my workshop and kilns and I will demonstrate my techniques.

Lesley Atkinson

Glass

Lesley Atkinson

I work on commission, making personalised, made-to-measure stained glass windows. I am an admirer of the Arts and Crafts Movement and my display pieces this year have been inspired by William de Morgan's 'Arabian' ceramic tiles with their rich turquoise and dark blue colours and exotic bird and flower designs. I will be demonstrating at Adbury Holt every weekend.

Caroline R K Brown

Drawing, Painting, Printmaking

Caroline R K Brown

My journey explores the nature of the drawing and being in the moment, using my sketch books for guidance. Media are sensitively chosen to compliment individual works in graphite, inks or paints. A new etching press has assisted in extending my artistic boundaries using combined techniques. I work intuitively through a variety of processes, the real and the imagined come together, creating new and exciting results.

Miggie Bruce

Drawing, Painting

Miggie Bruce

Plants, fruit and vegetables offer endless possibilities to draw and paint and it is also fun to see if there are any insects in residence but they are usually gone before I can draw them too. However, the evidence of their presence makes a plant more interesting and leaves, or fungi, with nibbles out of them are more attractive to me than perfect ones.

Pamela Hardman

Drawing, Painting, Printmaking

Pamela Hardman

My approach has changed to hybrid forms of printmaking techniques incorporating collagraphs, etchings, dry-point and block printing. Shifting the emphasis on the different processes I can achieve more complex, layered prints. I am pleased to be demonstrating my work in the garden studio again this year. I am also taking part in the Sketchbook project and exhibiting at the West Berkshire Museum Invisible Threads exhibition.

Rebecca Hedges

Photography

Rebecca Hedges

This year I have continued to focus on the great outdoors, with an emphasis on conveying the feelings evoked by mountains, woodland and water, often resulting in impressionistic works.

I am pleased to be located at Adbury Holt once again, showing my work alongside artists who work in such a wide range of disciplines.
