Jewellery making (2 day freestyle) - 26-27 July 2025

Introduction to making contemporary silver jewellery in Wernog Wood, northeast Wales
(accommodation options also available!)

Taught by jeweller Claire Acworth, the course options available offer you freedom to create your own designs in sterling silver. If these dates are not suitable, Claire is very flexible and can organise accommodate to suit you and can organise sessions that range from 3hrs to several days.

Get over any fear of soldering by starting with a hands-on exercise, discussing and practicing the principals of soldering. Experiment with texture, piercing and forming before finalising your design so to incorporate any of these techniques into your piece.

We suggest you come armed with 3 or 4 design sketches to avoid designers block! Claire will help you analyse your design ideas against some key design principles so that your piece is not only beautiful, but makeable too!
