Landscape has provided an emotional connection for me, and is at the heart of my work. I hope to translate this through different mediums, but very much as a painter. I have recently visited the archipelago of Svalbard, and this landscape has been a source of my latest work, influenced by the wilderness and fragility of the area, including the catastrophic disintegration of the glaciers due to climate change.
I have been painting in oils and working with Mixed Media drawing to capture the light and constantly changing landscape.
Nature is always an important reference point and trees have also been a source of exploration and has featured in recent work through Printmaking.
