I make pottery for use and decoration. The old technique I work with is called Maiolica; brush-painted tin glazed earthenware. I throw most of my work on the potters wheel and decorate with oxide mixtures and bright stains using calligraphic and watercolour brushes; wax/latex resist and sgrafitto.
I accept lettered commissions to celebrate weddings and births.
I offer taster and improver lessons either individually or in groups of two for throwing on the wheel or making using hand building techniques. I also offer individual tuition in brushwork decoration.
