I live and work in North Hampshire exploring the Landscape on foot and in paint. I spend a lot of time looking at the sky in wonder, marvelling at the endless procession of clouds, and changing weather.Watching the effect light and time of day has on the landscape.There is a thrilling sensuality in natural textures, the shadows and reflections created by dramatic storms, and wild sunsets/rises. My contemporary paintings are expressive responses to observed situations, and fleeting moments. I never tire of visiting familiar places to observe seasonal changes in the familiar landscape. I create spontaneous paintings using brushes, knives, and a variety of tools including fingers, to create interesting arrangements of exciting colour and texture. I relish the seasonal moods and changes of the landscape, and create my paintings in tune with the seasons.
