Art Statement
My work is inspired by the landscape, personal experience, and religious themes. The initial drawings are generally drawn in charcoal or pastels and converted with marker pens into a design pattern suitable for creation in glass.
I work in various ways with stained glass – leaded as typically found in stained glass windows; copper foil for lighter more decorative work; and fused generally for objects. However, in my current work I am combining these techniques to produce a variety of textures and features which seek to express in abstract form the emotions and meaning which inspired the original drawing.
