Julia is so delighted to be exhibiting ceramics this year. Over the last 2 years she has fallen in love with creating this collection. Julia loves to throw or hand build, and often incorporates both methods. Her 'Torn' collection is hand built, often using pieces of glass to melt over and enhance the rich glazes. She has also been experimenting with Raku firing. This has really piqued her excitement. Julia's work is usually colourful and organic, and has been inspired by nature for many of the pieces.

Julia also bakes and sculpts unique cakes into beautiful forms and figures. Surprisingly shaping forms in both edible and ceramic mediums have many similarities. The images of the cartoon monkey and the camera are cakes. All others are ceramics.
