The Garden.
All life is there - birth, growth, death and regeneration. Caring for our gardens is a source of wonder, hard work, joy and anxiety. In these paintings I hope to convey the beauty and the complexity of, for example, a beautiful flower but also an insect eating it for it's own survival and continuation of it's own species. A fine balance between attraction and destruction sometimes out of skew to our eyes but nature finds a way.

Jane has also been creating some art in boxes. Miniature scenes of natural life created in three dimensions.
In her studio there will be a variety of sketchbooks showing the subjects that really appeal to her.
