I started painting after retiring from being a Jewellery designer/maker, attending life drawing classes with Arran Miles which led me towards painting.
I am enjoying the continuous challenge of learning something new and experimenting with different mediums - acrylics and oil are the mediums that suit my style.
Studying history of art, visiting art exhibitions and meeting other OS artists all help to inspire me. I am a nature lover and keen gardener so I think my paintings reflect these passions. I often seem to go back to painting flowers from my garden or the beautiful Berkshire landscape.
I am experimenting with a more abstract approach and looser style, colour and texture are very important to me.
I am delighted to be exhibiting again with my neighbour Bryony at Berry Cottage and with Emma Moscow (Milliner) opposite my house, in Westbrook.
