Hi, many thanks for taking a look at my OS page. Living in rural Hampshire, I'm immersed in nature everyday; lost in the expanse of rolling hills or embraced and dwarfed amongst woodlands. Familiarity with these landscapes allows thoughts to wander freely, the world outside paused, the senses and imagination start to connect to a world beyond what we can see.

I begin my paintings with loose expressive marks, feeling my way into the painting and being open to where it may take me. The process of building layers is essential for me in exploring and understanding a place or moment - it is only then that I can then begin to make decisions about what to reveal and what to hide, offering glimpses of what may lay beyond.

May 2024 will be my first Open Studios, and I'm really looking forward to displaying my work at the museum and meeting other artists and art lovers. I will have a range of paintings available for sale, both framed and unframed and also some miniature 3 x 3 inch artworks too. I hope to see you there!
