I discovered gelplates a few years ago and have been experimenting with them since, still only scratching the surface of their possibilities. Working mainly in black and white allows me to focus on texture and mark-making using whatever materials (usually from my recycling bin!) I can find. Everything has come from trial and error. Wildlife and the natural world is my main source of inspiration and being highly commended in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year has spurred me on to continue this further.
