I love the British Countryside and particularly the river Thames on which I row. I also enjoy my walks with the dog through wooded glades where the sun streams through or high up on the Downs near Kingsclere with the big skies and wide panoramas. This year I have completed a series of paintings showing the river Thames in all its glory, and some of them show rowers in them!
I use oil paint in an expressive manner with palette knives and brushes trying to portray the scenes that I love in an evocative way.
I use colour and bold paint marks which give the landscape subjects an energy and life that I feel when I am immersed in the scene.
