Emma Clifton-Brown is an early career artist who is interested in developing her visual language through the line and smudge of pencil on paper, in response to the spiritual and cultural environment we face today.
Influenced by both visual and word-based artists, her aim is to hold in balance the challenge of journalists' work such as Todd Miller, who speaks of boundaries and borders, and the poetic photographic work of Suzanne Moxhay. Combining these influences she finds herself intrigued by the journey into unknown realms which causes one to ponder and consider the depth and breadth of life.
Working alongside her own practice, Emma is passionate about supporting younger artists and within an art residency in 2022 at a local school she was able to also encourage that development through classroom support and after-school activities.
