I believe Art gives expression to our humanity and spirituality, both on an individual level and a community/collective level. I believe Art reflects one’s deeper self, who we are, our values, our beliefs, and our identity.
I believe in the power of Art to connect and communicate, to enrich relationships, to encourage, heal and give hope, especially in troubled and troubling times.
I love looking at and creating pictures. I am endlessly fascinated by the language of art, and the choices and decisions that it involves. I love the tools, the materials, and all the paraphernalia of art-making.
In my recent work I've returned to exploring the possibilities of stitching onto textiles. These are early days with this medium, but I'm enjoying it. I hope my arthritic hands can keep up with my enthusiasm.
