I make paintings and prints which draw on a wide range of subject matter, some of which involve views taken from nearby landscapes and parks and riverside local to the studio. My interests lie in peaceful contemplation, a sense of place, and colour relationships, exploring landscape and the elements through such themes as: luminosity, mood, atmosphere, silhouettes and shadows; other paintings are more complex, evoking imagery from relationships between objects and ideas further afield, some with a hint of narrative.
I produce drawings and at times acrylic studies but the majority of my work is created in oils, most of which are available as high quality Giclée prints on acid free archive quality paper in limited numbers, from A4 to A1 print sizes and in excess of A1 extra large which can be ordered. All paintings are available as cards. Also, from time to time, I make hand-made prints, using a variety of processes including lino cut and woodblock methods.
You are very welcome to contact me to arrange viewings, or to order prints or cards of these or other paintings.
