I am excited to open my new studio in Goring for a second year .
As well as showing my most recent gessoed papier-mâché pieces , and painted and gilded boxes, this year I shall be demonstrating the many stages of the WATER gilding process, which I use on much of my work.
During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, this technique was ubiquitous across Europe and Asia.
Now sadly, its use has almost died out, but the result is fascinating and beautiful, do come and see how it is done !
