The Open Studios WBNH Committee welcomes you to the INSIGHT 2023 exhibition staged in the prestigious gallery at The Base, Greenham from 6 to 29 May 2023 (please note The Base will be closed on Monday 8 May 2023). 

This is our flagship exhibition and will again house the work of participating artists on this year's OPEN Studios 2023. The exhibition offers our artists a superb opportunity to showcase their work and traditionally, it is the best place for the public to begin their OPEN Studios experience in West Berkshire and North Hampshire.

Our 2023 curators, Diana Pattenden, Arty Pumpkin and Claire Terry are all regular artists with our scheme and put a great deal of care and attention in presenting a great show. INSIGHT 2023 provides our visitors a taster to help them choose the artists they want to visit. In this exhibition, they will meet painters, textile artists, ceramicists, sculptors, printmakers, artists who work in wood, stone and glass and mix media artists.

Our artist stewards and gallery staff will help you engage with the display, answer any questions and help should you wish to make a purchase. In 2023, our young visitors can also enter our INSIGHT Competition: We are inviting all under 18 visitors to use the worksheet provided at the exhibition (or downloadable here) to enter and submit response-artwork in our Competition Post Box at the gallery as well as post an image on our Instagram page #oswbnh2023. #insight2023atthebase The winner will get a pack of postcards of their artwork printed as a prize, plus publicity in the local news.
