Wendy Lloyd and Ursula Waechter

Wendy Lloyd and Ursula Waechter will be exhibiting together over the first two weekends of Open Studios at Wendy's studio close to the centre of Newbury.

Wendy has continued to develop two of her favourite themes - mysterious circles and spheres, and wild landscapes. Her experimental approach often combines multiple techniques and media. The work she will be displaying in May ranges from framed and mounted prints and textile pieces to cards, covered sketchbooks, hand dyed scarves and bags.

Ursula has been developing new designs drawing on her brushwork skills; using the complementary colour combination of red and green and a wax resist technique she has created vibrant salad bowls and serving dishes. Another range of designs simplifies the shapes of roots, leaves and flowers to geometric shapes – circles and half circles – which are accented with line drawings.

To allow for spontaneity the studio is not operating a booking system, so there is a small chance that you may be asked to mill around in the garden if the studio is busy. On street parking is limited, but we are a 5 minute walk from the Kennet Centre car park.
