Nuthatch in flight, copper-foiled painted glass, 12x14cm

I create glass art using traditional and modern stained glass techniques of lead, copper-foiling, and glass fusing. I enhance my work with kiln-fired paint, which means my images become part of the glass permanently.

My work is inspired by the natural world and the changing of seasons, and tends towards detail, which suits the making of small panels and items such as sun-catchers. I love the interplay of light and colour that using stained glass as a medium allows, and the element of unpredictability due to differing light conditions or even the movement of something behind the glass, like trees outside.
