I work as a ceramic artist working from my home studio in Cold Ash, having recently completed a degree in Ceramics at UCA Farnham. My work is available online and I also takes commissions. Please email for further information.
My work originates in the vessel form, mostly produced on the wheel, investing individual pieces with a sense of fluidity and energy. I find the gentle rhythmic nature of wheel work is both calming and meditative. Each piece is a ‘one-off’. The wheel work does not hide the makers work: The imperfections mark each piece out, imbuing character and spontaneity to the forms.
Please get in touch directly with me if you are interested in viewing my work at any time.
During Open Studions 2021 Artists at the Chapel exhibit again at the Newtown Road Cemetery Chapel, kindly sponsored by Newbury Town Council and this year exhibiting artists are Isabel Carmona (painting and printmaking), Helen Long (ceramics) and Nicola Bannister (jewellery).
Please note that, due to COVID 19, you will need to pre-book your visit to the Chapel. The link will be available in April 2021.
