Lizzie Perkins is a printmaker who specialises in wildlife screen-printing in a process of applying acrylic paints to paper via hand-cut newsprint stencils. Each colour needs its own separate stencil, each stencil needs its own print run, and this process is repeated with separate stencils until all colours have been laid down. The quest is always for markings, texture, pattern and their value in our environment, and "Cool Running" (pictured) is intended to convey the joy and beauty of traditional wildlife in the countryside around us.

Off the A329 at Lower Basildon turn up Park Wall Lane, bear right at the fork by the Village Hall into Bethesda Street. After about 600 yards look for the Open Studios sign on the right.
