My inspiration comes mainly from still life or landscape; shape, colour, texture. Recently, I have been experimenting with collage to provide a textured ground and different ways of applying acrylic paint to give a layered surface. I am now producing mixed media work with the addition of inks, pencils and pastels, aiming to simplify subject matter, moving towards abstraction.
