Artists at Lower Way Farm
Hands that are never still, ideas forever emerging - what will Diana make next in clay? This past year has seen a number of exciting commissions materialise including a bronze Golden Doodle Dog, ceramic Coots, Carp and a Canada Goose, plus a Mother and Baby Elephant ceramic image in relief. The studio is very busy with ceramic/sculpture/pottery classes, bookings for hand casting and children's clay parties. See Diana's sculpture at the Open Studios 2018 Open Air Sculpture exhibitions at Donnington Grove and Shaw House.

Sarah is a prolific artist and rarely a moment goes by without a brush in hand. Pleasure comes from colour and the movement of ink or paint on silk or paper. Patterns play on the eye for endless imaginary journeys. It’s not all abstract, Sarah’s keen observational skills are used to create realistic images from nature be it flowers, birds or even a frog. Sarah runs workshops and school art projects, encouraging all of us to have a go too.
Landscape and environment inspire my work. Colour, structure and balance, together with texture and expressive line quality, are my main motivations for experimentation. In my work I portray my emotional responses to both abstraction and figurative outcomes. This last year I have been hugely inspired by the beauty of Autumn, my favourite season.
