I have been doing embroidery and quilting for more than 50 years. I dye my own fabrics and use screen printing, batik and other surface decoration. I am interested in patterns from buildings and the natural world. I make all sorts of quilts, bags, wall-hangings, table runners and mats. Some are Art Quilts and others are more traditional.

I have been weaving for over forty years and am currently using a large 32 shaft loom which enables me to create unique drafts derived from objects such as ancient SW American ceramics. My goal is to weave unique pieces which can be made into clothing such as tailored jackets and waistcoats. I do weave scarves but regard them as samples to try out newly created pattern designs. To enable me to achieve the designs I want, I took up dyeing 15 years ago to get an exact match to the wanted colour of yarn.
