I work experimentally, looking to nature as a vital source of ideas. I am interested in process and use mainly natural textile fibres worked in different ways: dyeing, felting, knitting and tapestry weaving. To capture ideas I also draw and print, creating artists books. The final pieces become tactile and colourful one-off wall hung elements that are presented in series or as individual structures.

Drawing and Painting Bonni Southey

This season my work celebrates the divine feminine energy with a series of Goddess images all expressing different feminine qualities. Images well up from deep inside - after meditation - in loose painterly unexpected ways..........nothing planned, everything expressed in vivid colour and movement.
I also do smaller pieces of whimsical collage work in a vintage retro style, and lead workshops teaching these fun methods. I also facilitate Soulscapes workshops to help people unblock innate creativity through the medium of colour therapy in a process of working deep in the psyche at a subtle level.
