Celebrating 20 years of Open Studios

This year the Open Studios scheme of West Berkshire and North Hampshire celebrates its twentieth year of operation. We are very pleased and honoured to receive the following letters of support.

I am delighted to have this opportunity to congratulate Open Studios on their 20th Anniversary. To have started in 1988 with 18 artists and now to have almost reached 100 participants is a great achievement of which everyone involved with the Scheme should be proud. I would like to mention especially Pat Eastop, who twenty years ago had the idea of giving people the chance to meet and talk to artists in their own studios. The scheme, which as well as having open studios also covers workshops and exhibitions, has proved to be an outstanding success and is an inspiration to all.

Many congratulations and good luck with Open Studios in the future.

Congratulations to all at Open Studios in celebrating your 20th Anniversary. Open Studios continues to provide a marvellous showcase for visual arts. The Trust is very pleased to support the scheme.

Congratulations to Open Studios on their 20th Anniversary. Over the years, they have supported artists in the region and provided members of the public with the opportunity to find out more about art. Through their liaison with schools they have recognised the value of art within education and I have been particularly interested in their projects with young people who have autism.
