Organising artists' residencies and workshops continue to be a strong feature of Open Studios. In addition to encouraging schools and colleges to open their classrooms and art and design departments, exciting opportunities are provided which offer modes of learning through both the visual and performing arts.

Themes relating to the environment, historical references through Ufton Court, the Kennet and Avon Canal and the Globe Theatre have involved young people and their families throughout West Berkshire.
